Feb. 24, 2013~ Whew...this has been a whirlwind of a week.  Feb. 18, I picked up two more classes, my husband's Grandmother past away last week.  Her funeral was Feb. 19.  My son was sick Monday - Wednesday.  Had to follow through with my youngest daughter's recheck of her ears on Wednesday, she had failed a hearing test and had been having trouble hearing.  Turns out she had a ton of fluid in her ears causing her hearing problems, no infection, she just couldn't hear.  So I loaded my daughter and my sick son in the Yukon and headed to Derby for her doctor appointment.  She is a little better in her right ear, left ear is still filled with fluid.  We go back in 2 more weeks, if it is not better we go to an ENT.  Then the entire family is snowed in Thursday.  The kids had snow days both Thursday and Friday.  Friday night my youngest daughter began to get sick with what my son had.  I completed all my homework that was not a discussion board on Saturday.  I began reading at 10:00pm tonight (Sunday) so that I could get my 90minutes in.  It is now 11:42 and I am exhausted!!

I am almost done with the "Heaven is For Real" book.  It is really a great book and makes one think about their relationship with Christ.  Before I had actually read this book, I was a pessimist about this child and his accusations.  I just assumed his parents probably coaxed him to talk about seeing Jesus so that they could publish this book.  However, it is absolutely not like my presumption at all.  The details of the pain these parents went through with their child being so sick and the situations how it all unfolded really changed my way of thinking.  The part that really begins to change my way of thinking is the power of prayer, the family needed $23,000 and they began receiving gifts of money from people they did not know which totaled almost exactly what they owed.  Another moving moment is when Colton's father was going to be officiating a funeral.  Colton asked his father, "did the man that died have Jesus in his heart?"  Most four year olds would not ask that question, especially not knowing the man. When the family went to the funeral Colton would stated..."he had to know Jesus."

My next book I want to read is "Safe Haven".  I went to the movies with my girlfriends a week ago and it was a good movie, however I have heard the book is much better!
